On Saturday morning, Hundreds of Youth and Christians gathered in Akonyibedo Chapel to celebrate their day which started with Holy Mass led by the Parish Priest Fr. Justine Loum joined by two priests Fr. Derick Okidi who is the Curate and Youth Chaplain of St. Mauritz Parish and Fr. Samuel Okot the Archdiocesan Youth Chaplain. The message to the Youth on this day was reflected from the readings of the day which focused on St. Phillip and St. James doings whom they inspired Nathile to see Jesus who was proclaiming the gospel. So he urged the youth to be witnesses of Christ and also proclaim the word of God. He advised the Youth not to undermine places since in the reading Jesus was being undermined because he was from Nazareth. He urged the youth not to undermine any job like the way Nathaniel did and to be exemplary in proclaiming the word of God.
He continued saying Youth are important people in the society so they should like prayers, sacrament and other church activities. Youthful stage is the age of setting foundation of the future life. Utilise the age of being youthful and avoid acts that drain their lives like alcohol, dancing, laziness, early marriage. Instead they should work hard to change or transform their lives.
